Kem Gardner
Kem Gardner’s name has become synonymous with the arts, education, healthcare, public policy, and real estate in Utah. However, as a Wyoming-raised boy, rodeo always had a special spot in Gardner’s heart.
Utah’s 150-year-old Days of ‘47 Rodeo is one of the longest-standing traditions in The State of Sport. Honoring its pioneer heritage, the world’s only gold medal rodeo is chaired by the Utah philanthropist.
With over a decade at the helm, Gardner has elevated the event to be one of the top five professional rodeos in the nation. Gardner’s leadership led to the construction of a new arena at the Utah State Fairpark, giving Days of ‘47 a permanent home.
