USA Climbing is returning to the Salt Palace Convention Center for two weeks for their Bouldering National Championships. On February 2nd & 3rd, the Salt Palace will host USA Climbing’s Bouldering Open National Championship. The top climbers from around the country, 16 years of age and older will compete for the title of National Champion and a piece of the $10,000 prize purse. Last year, over 184 competitors made their way to Salt Lake City for Open Nationals. The qualifying rounds will take place on Friday, 2/2/18, with semifinals and Finals taking place on Saturday, 2/3/18. All three rounds are open to the public. The following weekend, February 10th & 11th, USA Climbing’s Bouldering Youth National Championship will take place. 501 of the most talented youth competitors from all around of the country competed in the Youth National Championship in 2017. This year, USA Climbing expects that number to grow. The qualifying rounds on 2/9/18 are free to the public. Spectators can purchase tickets to the semifinal rounds on Saturday, 2/10/18, and the Final round on Sunday, 2/11/18. Tickets can be purchased at www.usaclimbing.org
Both National Championships will be livestreamed on www.usaclimbing.org and the USA Climbing YouTube channel. More information regarding the National Championships will be published on the USA Climbing website as the competitions draw closer.
