ATLANTA (May 4, 2018) – For the first time in its 22 years, the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) will be bringing all 32 of its national participants to Salt Lake City for the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
The event, hosted by the Salt Lake City Regional Athletic Complex, will run from May 7-12. The first round in both divisions will be held on Monday, May 7, followed by the quarterfinals on Tuesday. The week is capped off by the semifinals on Thursday and the championship contests on Saturday.
The 32 teams descending on Salt Lake City are located in 21 different states, led by local programs Brigham Young and the University of Utah. Universities large and small are represented, from Texas A&M, Oregon, Cal, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Boston College to St. Thomas, College of Idaho, Sierra Nevada and Central Conn. State.

Salt Lake City area media who wish to cover any or all of the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour are encouraged to RSVP for an event credential. It will be waiting at the main entrance gate.
Photography will be open for the first two rounds of the championships on Monday and Tuesday, but the semifinals and finals will require a credential sanctioned by the MCLA because of limited space.
About the MCLA
The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a confederacy of nine conferences spanning the country with a membership of nearly 200 teams in 45 states and Canada. Established in 1997, the MCLA consists of two divisions that complete the season with a pair of 16-team championship tournaments. MCLA programs exist only at institutions that do not offer a varsity lacrosse option and has produced numerous professional lacrosse players as well as NCAA head coaches at every divisional level.
